Lots of beer to cheer about - the craft brew scene is bubbling over on LI! Events, new brews, grand openings, and more frothy festivities!

A reason to get hoppy as 2022 welcomed several new taprooms on LI: Necromantic Brew Co., a gluten-free brewery in Farmingdale, Root + Branch in Copiague, and Take Two Brewery in Bay Shore. We’ll be watching for grand openings in 2023! Long Island reached close to 60 last year (there were only 21 at the beginning of 2016!). Downtown Riverhead is now being dubbed capital city of craft brewing on LI with six breweries.

Montauk Brewing Co. has hopped into the arms of Tilray Brands, the largest cannabis company in the world. This partnership will be a big boost to the brand, which was originally created in 2012 by high school buddies from East Hampton. Founders Vaughan Cutillo and Eric Moss will remain at the helm along with all other employees including general manager Terry Hopper. Bravo!
