The pandemic has shown us one thing for sure…we like to be outside…as much as possible. Even to the extreme that we want to bring our delicious hot dinner out to a blow-up snow globe, just to get a glimpse of the world around us.
Laura Orlando visited Flora in Westhampton and had this to say about it:
I received a wonderful Christmas gift to “Dine at Dome” experience at Flora in Westhampton Beach. My reservation was for last night and I was a bit skeptical to go with the icy rain coming down. BUT it completely enhanced the experience and made the dome that much cozier! I would highly recommend this place for outdoor dining in a dome. The food at Flora is over the top! We shared plates so we can try multiple items on the menu and they were all exceptional. I wasn’t being fair sharing the brussel sprout appetizer, I really tried not to eat them all myself 😁. These domes are great for groups or romantic nights. I will be dining here again either in a dome or at one of the tables in their beautifully decorated restaurant.
One after the other establishments jumped on the igloo bandwagon and now you can find almost two dozen experiences across the island. Here is a recently compiled list of places where you can cozy up in your own private Idaho:

They’ve become a pretty popular option, so reservations are highly recommended. Keep in mind if it’s much below freezing you’re going to need a jacket or at least a few layers.
